Fel D 1 levels

We are proud to announce that we are one of the main catteries to test Fel D 1 levels in all of our kittens
All of our breeding cats are descendants – 1st generation – from cats imported from Russia.

We are excited to be able to now breed “home grown” kitties. It is a testament to high standards set in the beginning, to be in a position to now have offspring good enough to breed.

We test our kittens for salivary Fel d 1 levels at nine weeks of age, and match them to the following chart. Kittens with the lowest allergen levels {Extremely Low 0.08 to 1.0 mcg} are suitable for individuals with the most severe reactions. Folks with less severe cat allergies do fine when kittens have higher allergen levels.

We have put a hold on international applications for now as the reserve list is very long and the wait is now at least 1 year. If your allergies are mild to moderate I am happy to recommend other breeders who may be able to help you.

Exttra Low 0.1 to 1.0 mcg hives, swelling, severe sneezing, airway constriction

Very Low 1.0 to 1.75 mcg itchy skin, light sneezing, severe runny nose, mild asthma

Low 1.75 to 2.5 mcg moderate symptoms, runny nose, irritated eyes, coughing

Medium 2.5 to 3.5 mcg mild cat allergies, eye irritation and stuffy nose

Normal 3.5 to 16 mcg not recommended for homes with cat allergies
